jette koep joins airinside!
march 2025
we are very proud to welcome jette koep from germany, to the airinside team!
jette comes from a strong sailing background, progressing from optimist and dinghy classes to 49er skiffs as part of an olympic campaign, before transitioning into wingfoil racing.
now competing on the iwsa wingfoil racing tour, she has quickly established herself on the international stage. in 2025, she achieved a 5th place at the formula wing world championships in cagliari and a 4th place at the world cup in jericoacoara, brazil.
on the national level, she secured 1st place at the german open wingfoil racing during kieler woche 2025 and also won the women’s category at the german championships (winger of the sea).
with a racing mindset shaped by years on the water and a fast progression into wingfoiling, jette represents a new generation of competitive riders.
we’re excited to support her journey and see her continue to rise on the international circuit.

airinside HD construction

We are proud to introduce the Airinside HD Construction – the next evolution of hollow wingboard technology.
This is the world’s first hollow wingboard construction that comes with full warranty even under extreme jumping and freestyle use. Designed for riders who push limits, the HD Construction delivers a significantly increased stiffnesscompared to the standard Airinside STD Construction (which is already stiffer and more direct than any other boards), without compromising the core advantage: ultra-low weight.
Key structural upgrades include a fully reinforced box system and deck, developed specifically to handle high loads, hard landings, and aggressive riding. After extensive real-world testing, the result is a bombproof construction built for uncompromising performance.
Despite the reinforcements, the additional weight is only approximately 250–300 grams. This means the Superfly 72 HD comes in at around 3.8 kg, still well below the 4 kg mark.

rising star oscar dempsey, joins airinside!

we are thrilled to announce that oscar dempsey, a young rising star in the UK wingfoil scene, has joined airinside as our newest team rider!
at just 13 years old, oscar has already proven his talent on the international stage, becoming vice world champion at the IWSA youth world championships 2025 (U15).
earlier this year, he dominated the first UKWA slalom event, he’s continued to perform well across the UK throughout the year finishing the season with a win at the prestigious weymouth speed week.
we are proud to support oscar as he continues his journey and look forward to following this young talent’s rise in competitive wingfoiling.

rafferty read rides high at défi wing 2025 – 11th place finish in Gruissan

The winds of Gruissan carried our team rider, Rafferty Read, riding the brand new supernova 58 to an impressive 11th place finish at the Défi Wing 2025, held from May 26th to 28th. Competing against a field of 590 wingfoil enthusiasts from around the globe, Rafferty showcased exceptional skill and determination in the long-distance races that define this iconic event.
The Défi Wing, now in its fourth edition, is renowned for its challenging 40 km courses and the unique “rabbit start,” where hundreds of riders launch simultaneously into the Tramontane winds. Rafferty’s performance amidst such intense competition underscores his dedication and the capabilities of our Airinside boards.

we are happy to announce that viola lippitsch, Austrian wingfoil champion and GWA world tour competitor, has joined airinside as a new team rider! with the goal of becoming a top international wingfoil competitor, viola’s journey into the sport began with skiing followed by kitesurfing, mountain biking and competitive handball. since discovering wingfoiling, she has been making waves with her incredible skill and passion.
her first day testing our ultra-light, foam-free boards left her inspired: “the first day of testing was incredible!” viola’s commitment to pushing her limits, coupled with her deep connection to the perfectly aligns with our values.

max brinnich takes on brazil with the superfly

Our team rider Max Brinnich just took our SuperFly 72 board to the stunning Brazilian coast, and it did not disappoint. Max has been using the SuperFly 84 for about six months now, and here’s what he had to say:
